EASI stands for "European Autoimmunity Standardization Initiative". The initiative was founded by Allan Wiik (SSI Denmark) and Michael Haass (Phadia) in 2002.

It consists of a group of dedicated scientists and practitioners from laboratories, clinics or authorities of the health care systems from different European countries who are interested in collaborating to improve the diagnostics of autoimmune and rheumatoid disorders.
